Engaging New Hires with Benefits Information
Before Airbo, educating new hires about benefits at Berkshire was a challenge. Traditional methods, such as distributing two-sided paper summaries, did little to capture or retain the attention of new employees. It also failed to address the needs of a considerable Spanish-speaking workforce, and didn’t provide the data Berkshire needed to improve benefits engagement.

Airbo was introduced to revitalize the new hire benefits education process. The benefits engagement platform allowed for fun, interactive learning, and the auto-translate function catered to the needs of Berkshire’s multilingual workforce. In addition to improving the onboarding experience for employees, the platform also empowered Berkshire’s benefits team with valuable data on benefits awareness and understanding.

Following a recent acquisition, Airbo played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth transition of 150 new employees who joined the company overnight, receiving "absolute rave reviews.” Finally, insights from Airbo’s feedback functionality, such as a lack of awareness about specific benefits, have helped refine their communication strategy to better meet employee needs.

Focus on Benefits Engagement
Looking forward, Berkshire plans to use Airbo’s capabilities to hone in on specific topics that need more awareness, like access to pet insurance. They are also launching a monthly wellness campaign, which will provide ongoing education about wellness programs and promote benefits engagement.
