Traveling for Thanksgiving?
Traveling for Thanksgiving?

Traveling for the holidays often means stress due to delays, bad weather, increased traffic, and canceled flights. Here are a few tips to save you time and frustration:

Flying

  1. Travel with carry-on luggage only. You'll have full control of your bags, save money on bag fees, and avoid the check-in counter and baggage claim.
  2. Arrive early. With an estimated 46 million people flying around Thanksgiving, it's wise to give yourself extra time to avoid stress.

Driving

  1. Leave early or late. According to Google, the worst traffic for Thanksgiving is the Wednesday before from 3 - 5 pm.
  2. Take breaks. If traffic is bad, take the next exit. You left early (right?!), so a detour won't make you late for dinner.
